Frequently Asked Questions

How do I trace a lost UK pension?

Add each previous employer to the worklist, then use the Generate Trace Letter button to produce a ready-to-send letter for each provider. You can also contact the government's free Pension Tracing Service at gov.uk/find-pension-contact-details with the employer name and approximate dates of employment.

Is my worklist data stored on Wealth365 servers?

No — all data you enter stays in your browser's local storage only. Nothing is sent to our servers. Use the Export button to save a backup JSON file if you want to preserve your progress.

What if I don't know the pension provider for an old employer?

That is exactly what the government Pension Tracing Service is designed for. It holds details of occupational pension schemes by employer name and can provide contact details for the scheme administrator.

How long does a pension trace take?

Timescales vary by provider, but most scheme administrators are required to respond to disclosure requests within 2 months. Some respond much faster; others — particularly historic or wound-up schemes — can take longer.
