Wealth365 was born from a simple frustration: a Chartered Certified Accountant approaching retirement, staring at a spreadsheet, and thinking "there has to be a better way."

Connect on LinkedInAfter decades working in finance as a Chartered Certified Accountant, I found myself approaching retirement and doing what most people in my position do — building ever more complex spreadsheets to try and answer a deceptively simple question: am I going to be alright?
State Pension rules, pension allowances, ISA strategies, inheritance tax, tax-efficient drawdown order — I understood all of it professionally. But pulling it together into a single, coherent picture of my own financial future? That was surprisingly difficult, even for someone with my background.
The professional planning tools I'd seen were expensive, locked behind adviser licences, or designed for US markets. The free tools were too simplistic. And the spreadsheets? They worked, but they were fragile, hard to maintain, and impossible to share with my wife.
That frustration became the spark for Wealth365. I combined my financial background with a growing curiosity in modern development tools. Using Replit's collaborative platform, I began building the planning software I wished existed — one that understood UK tax rules, pension regulations, and the real complexity of retirement planning.
What started as a personal project quickly grew into something bigger. If a qualified accountant found retirement planning this difficult, what chance did everyone else have? And if the tools I was building could help me, they could help others too.
Today, Wealth365 serves two audiences. For individuals, it's the professional-grade planning software that used to be reserved for those who could afford an adviser. For IFAs themselves — people like my father — it's a complete practice platform: planning software, client management, and lead generation in one place.
The mission hasn't changed from day one: make proper financial planning accessible to everyone in the UK, not just the wealthy few.
As Wealth365 grows, we're bringing in experienced technologists to strengthen the platform's architecture, performance, and user experience.
